Sound Cascade
Site-specific sculpture. Vesta House Competition. Shortlisted. London, January 2015.
Site-specific proposal for the atrium in Vesta House that represents the kaleidoscopic nature of London, simultaneously static and dynamic. The waterfall of hundreds of mirrors is a visual materialisation of the pixelated experiences of all the different realities, instantly solidifying into the intense flux of diversities.
The gentle movement of each of the scales, caused by any small movement of air, like grass in a meadow, will also create a slight tinkling sound across the entire surface of the sculpture.
The visualization of the entire shape changes depending on our position. Through the individual visual relationship with the sculpture, each person carries a different perspective, while sharing the experience of being part of the entire flow.
