Singing Birds, Dancing Trees.
Private event at Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía. Madrid. May 2008.
In this installation we move through the environment while it moves and around us simultaneously. A moving bird soundscape that rotates enhancing our spatial experience.
Music takes place in time. The execution of any work needs a time dimension for it to exist. But in this installation a spatial parameter is added onto it.This sound installation is based on the idea of sound travelling over moving shadows. A dynamic disfigured bird soundscape is played while hidden mobile lights are projecting plant shadows on white vinyl screens.
Environment is the result of the interaction of three different processes: the moving shadow landscape, the oscillating bird soundscape and the visitors´ own movement.
