Contemporary Landscapes: Actions and Narrations
Venice Biennale di Architettura, 2002.
When listening to any single sound, we always try to connect it with a recognisable visual object. We need to associate and reference it with an origin.
This work aims to break through the relation between sound and object. Distorted and disfigured field-recorded sounds are transformed into a new soundscape, an abstract region with no visual references.
